How To Use Numerology-The Ancient System

Numerology is most commonly understood as the reduction of a name or birthdate into a singular number from 1-9 which signifies personality characteristics, and life path. However, what if numerology were the keys to ancient wisdom? A code that unlocked the deeper mysteries and connected clues to understanding the meaning and magic within our universe. This is how the ancients used numerology, from Judea, Babylon, and the Greeks. It is no mystery that numbers are connected to our universe. It’s qualitative and not quantitative. So how can numerology be used as a key beyond the birth date? Its secrets live in the letters.

Alpha-Numeric Systems

Applying numbers to letters is originally connected to Gematria, an alpha-numeric art that has been shrouded throughout the centuries. Gematria is a system that applies numeric values to words and letters as a cipher. It was primarily used during biblical times, but its methods have been used in Egyptian, Greek, and, Hebrew applications. It’s not a religious art, but more of a mystic art that connects passages and texts as keys to deeper meanings, and the greater mysteries. This is the greater application of numerology. While we may find qualities and characteristics from given names, the application of numerology goes far beyond an association to personal characteristics or the meaning of repeating numbers. The ancients saw numerology is the cipher to untold truths, and the codes to the interplay of the universe. It is a language within itself.

“Gematria, a method depending on the fact that each Hebrew letter had a numerical value. When the sum of the numbers of the letters composing a word was the same as the sum of the letters of another word, however different, they perceived an analogy between them, and considered them to have a necessary connection. Thus certain numbers got to be well known as meaning certain things; and not words only, but sentences were treated in this manner…”

The Secret Keys of Numbers

The alpha-numeric correspondence in Gematria is like a map. In which, much like a geographical map, its interpretation includes a legend to map out a path to the destination. A Gematria legend is the numeric correlation to each Hebrew letter, Greek letter, and Egyptian numerology. This legend is the key to apply numeric values to letters, words, and phrases to decipher the characteristics and energetic quality contained within each letter and word. This legend or key is used for summation- or adding the combined numeric value of each letter to derive the sum total for each word, and each word’s sum total within each phrase. Thus each letter has a numeric correspondence, which creates a number correspondence for each word based on the letters contained within, and subsequently each phrase has a numeric correspondence or code based on the numbers associated with the words within the phrase.

These codes connect to the same numeric values, ( i.e. 333 matches to another phrase equaling 333). When numbers are matching, they are deemed connected. These numbers are also connected to sacred geometry, and musical harmonics, lending itself as a key to the dynamic and hidden energies that operate our unseen world throughout multiple disciplines. According to the Ancients this key is a method to unlock the hidden truths, and simultaneously mask them from the uninitiated or “vulgar eyes”. What is revealed will show itself through numeric signatures guiding the seeker on the path through their own inner and outer mysteries. The destination will present itself, but the path requires the explorer to map themselves along the way.
